Korg Poly-800 / EX-800 Factory Presets WAV File

Instructions

1. Connect a mono audio cable from any audio player’s output to the ”FROM TAPE” input on the Poly-800 / EX-800. Set level switch to LOW and output volume level near 0 dB.
2. Switch the tape enable/disable to ENABLE.
3. ENABLE SEQUENCER WRITE.
4. ENABLE PROGRAM WRITE.
5. Press the LOAD button on the synth.
6. Play file.
7. Wait for 15 seconds. ”LOAD” message should blink while data is coming in.,
8. Upon successful loading, the display will confirm completion with a ”GOOD” message.
9. Should there be any errors, indicated by an ”Err” message on the display:
   – Verify and adjust the output level of your player as it might be too loud or too soft.
   – Try different volume output levels step by step.
   – Press CANCEL button and then LOAD button again.
   – When level switch is set to LOW, the correct signal level is near 0 dB or a bit louder. The LCD display will blink more slowly when you are near the correct level.

After successfull loading and ”GOOD” message:

1. Switch the TAPE ENABLE/DISABLE to DISABLE.
2. Switch SEQUENCER ENABLE/DISABLE to DISABLE.
3. Switch PROGRAM ENABLE/DISABLE to DISABLE.

Unit is now initialized with factory settings and it is ready for use.
